Description: The Jefferson County Road centerline dataset began to be compiled in the early 2000s. It was originally gathered using a GPS reciever, resulting in multiple unnecessary vertices, which have since been removed. Polylinear centerlines along curved roads have been replaced with true arcs to reflect a smoother and more accurate dataset. Spatial accuracy of lines are constantly being refined using on screen digitization and the latest and/or highest accuracy aereal photography. This dataset tries to capture navigable roads, whether public or private. Notes as to the true owner or steward of the actual road are included under the "Jurisdiction" field.

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline

Description: The Jefferson County Road centerline dataset began to be compiled in the early 2000s. It was originally gathered using a GPS reciever, resulting in multiple unnecessary vertices, which have since been removed. Polylinear centerlines along curved roads have been replaced with true arcs to reflect a smoother and more accurate dataset. Spatial accuracy of lines are constantly being refined using on screen digitization and the latest and/or highest accuracy aereal photography. This dataset tries to capture navigable roads, whether public or private. Notes as to the true owner or steward of the actual road are included under the "Jurisdiction" field.
